s the Farm-City Pro
Rodeo said good-
bye to the arena at
the Umatilla County Fair-
grounds in 2016, it did so
without some of the nota-
ble cowboys Farm-City fans
were used to seeing. How-
ever that is likely to change
this year.

Competitors such as
13-time all-around cow-
boy world champion Trev-
or Brazile, bulldogger Luke
Branquinho, bareback rider
Richmond Champion and
Terrebonne native Austin
Foss all were gone from the
Professional Rodeo Cow-
boys Association ranks in
2016 to be a part of the start-
up Elite Rodeo Athletes.
However the ERA had an
underwhelming debut sea-
son in which three rode-
os were canceled, the end-
of-season
championship
was shortened, and many
of the top names like Bra-
zile and Champion cashed
in their ERA stocks and re-
upped their PRCA mem-
bership by the end of the
season.
