WEDNESDAY
12:25 a.m. - A physical altercation
between a man carrying a briefcase
and a woman at West Highland Avenue
and Southwest 11th Street, Hermiston,
prompted a call to Hermiston police.
THURSDAY
10:18 a.m. - The Morrow County
Sheriff’s Office was called to Highway
730 near Umatilla after it was reported a
woman was walking toward town carrying a
butcher knife. A juvenile was contacted and
returned to her grandparents.
10:30 a.m. - A grass fire was reported at
Krome Transportation, 800 Stanfield Ave.,
Stanfield.
10:51 a.m. - A resident of Southwest
Isaac Avenue, Pendleton, reported a car
prowl.
10:53 a.m. - Umatilla police were asked
to talk to a woman on Washington Street
who had gone to her neighbor’s house
several times and asked the babysitter
inappropriate questions.
12:07 p.m. - A vehicle was reported
stolen from Pendleton Square Apartments
Phase I, 300 S.W. 28th Drive.
1:28 p.m. - Boardman and U.S. Navy
fire crews responded to the area near
Love’s Travel Stop, 78665 Tower Road,
Boardman, for a report of smoke growing
at the west end of the Navy’s bombing
range.
3:44 p.m. - A resident of Southwest
Ladow Avenue and Southwest 25th Street,
Pendleton, reported thousands of hornets
at the location.
4:18 p.m. - A large grass fire was
reported on Robnett Street, Umatilla.
4:34 p.m. - A man dressed like a cyclist,
but without a bicycle, was transported
to Good Shepherd Medical Center,
Hermiston, with possible heat stroke after
he was found lying on the side of east-
bound Interstate 84 near Boardman.
4:52 p.m. - A resident of Indian Hills
Apartments, 1335 S.W. Second St.,
Pendleton, reported a possible insurance
scam involving Columbian Life Insurance.
5:03 p.m. - Dickey & Tremper LLP, 110
S.E. First St., Pendleton, reported fraud.
9:02 p.m. - Theft of medication was
reported by a resident of Vista Village, 2801
S.W. Houtama Road, Pendleton.
9:54 p.m. - A resident of Follett Lane,
Hermiston, reported a car prowl.
11:41 a.m. - Another series of car prowls
was reported in Pendleton through Friday
morning by residents on Southeast 9th and
18th streets, South Main Place, Southwest
Seventh Street and Northwest 10th Street.

arrested Edgar Lee Weems, 62, address
not provided, for possession of oxycodone
and fourth-degree aggravated assault.
