Recently ranked number four on a list of top flea
markets in Washington, the Love of Junk offers shop-
pers cool finds, salvaged materials, repurposed objects
and vintage items for the home, garden or gift giving.
The junker’s paradise is Friday from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Swenson
Farm, 253 Valley Chapel Road, Walla Walla. There’s a
$5 entry fee (ages 12-and-under are free).
People can enjoy their “hunting” adventure with 80
vendors, housed inside a huge shed and on the grass
acreage. Picnic tables located beneath large shade
trees offer a place to listen to live music and enjoy
purchases made from food trucks.
Vendors from across the Pacific Northwest and
beyond will be on hand for the event. Even a pair
of Hermiston vendors are returning for the event.
Barbara Floyd said Cynthia Traner, owner of C and R
Mercantile Co., will be the highlight of the front and
center booths in the main building, and anchoring the
back left corner of the main building for the past five
years is Mary Gressley with Compass Rose Trading
Co.
“Both vendors are very popular and well received
at our event,” Floyd said.
