THURSDAY
12:14 a.m. - Two people fought in the
parking lot at the Circle K, 335 S.E. Court
Ave., Pendleton.
12:35 a.m. - A Hermiston resident
on West Orchard Avenue told police her
sister’s soon-to-be ex-husband broke into
the house.
5:37 a.m. - Hermiston police looked for
two juveniles around Southwest Riverhill
Drive and 17th Street on a report they
were looking inside vehicles.
10:58 a.m. - One male tried to assault
another at McDonald’s, 900 Southgate
Drive, Pendleton. Police took a report.
11:47 a.m. - A caller reported someone
spilled “something brown, slippery and
smelling” on the road at Northeast Fourth
Street and Elm Avenue, Hermiston.
12:28 p.m. - Employees at the Indian
Hills Chevron, 309 S.E. Nye Ave., reported
receiving a fake $100 bill. Pendleton
police earlier this year broke up a money
counterfeiting operation. The East
Oregonian will have an update on the
case next week.
12:44 p.m. - A woman on East Wilshire
Avenue, Hermiston, told police her “soon
to be ex” assaulted her.
7:07 p.m. - Two pickups, a silver
single-cab Nissan and a white Toyota
Tacoma, drove through closed roads on
the Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge,
Irrigon, a caller reported, and then left on
Paterson Ferry Road. Morrow County law
enforcement did not find the pickups.
8:52 p.m. - A large dog on Southwest
Desert Oak Drive, Hermiston, pushed over
a bicycle rider.

Edward Verwey, 34, of 125 W. Jennie
Ave., Hermiston, for driving under the
influence of intoxicants, reckless driving
and a warrant for failure to appear.

methamphetamine.
