HERMISTON — An evening of laughter, fun and
nostalgia will celebrate the 45th year since the Hermiston
High School class of 1972 graduated.
Classmates are encouraged to come and catch up with
friends. The gathering is Saturday, June 17 at 6 p.m. at the
Midway Bar & Grill, 1750 N. First St., Hermiston. There is
no charge to attend the no-host event. Although the gathering
centers around members of the class of 1972, people from
other classes are invited to celebrate with their friends.
A class of 1972 photo will be taken at 6 p.m. by Steve
Mills. Those wanting to purchase a photo need to bring $15
to cover expenses.

HERMISTON — All participants in the Pregnancy Care
Services’ fundraising walk will receive a token for free Dairy
Queen ice cream.
The annual Walk for Life is Friday, June 2 with
registration at 6 p.m. and the walk starting at 6:30 p.m. at
McKenzie Park, 320 S. First St., Hermiston. Participants are
asked to collect pledges and bring them to the walk.
Pledge sheets are available at www.pregnancycareservices.
com or at Pregnancy Care Services, 105 S.W. Second St.,
Hermiston. Anyone collecting or contributing $50 or more
will receive a free T-shirt. Teagan Birt, youth group member
at Solid Rock, is coordinating a contest for youth groups —
with the one collecting the most money receiving a prize.
“This is one of our favorite fundraisers,” said Debbie
Cissna, director. “It is an event every member of the family
can enjoy.”
Money raised from the event helps the nonprofit

save money and history is offered by the Pendleton Historic
Preservation Commission and the State Historic Preservation
Commission.
Don’t Let Old Windows Be a Pane! is Saturday, June 3
from 2-3:30 p.m. in the community room at Pendleton City
Hall, 501 S.W. Emigrant Ave. There is no registration fee.
The session will provide information for homeowners
or commercial business owners who want to know how
to fix and repair historic windows and save money. Tips
will be provided in regards to reducing air infiltration, how
to restore wooden windows, the use of putty, caulk and
weatherstripping, how to buy or make interior storm panels
and more.
The workshop is presented by Joy Sears of the State
Historic Preservation Office. For more information, call Keith

The event includes a co-ed golf scramble, which is

Country Club. All classmates are invited to attend the after-
