The City of Hermiston, Oregon, invites bids for
the construction of the Water Meter Upgrades -
2017 project. The awarded Contractor will assist the Owner
with upgrading the existing radio read water meters with new
cellular endpoints and replacing the manual read water meters
with new water meters with cellular endpoints. The Owner will
supply all water meters and cellular endpoints. The Owner
intends to enter into a Contract with a qualified contractor to
complete the Work pursuant to the attached Technical
Specifications. The Owner intends to complete this Work as
soon as reasonably possible, with substantial completion no
later than October 6, 2017.

The City of Hermiston, Oregon, invites bids for the construction of the Building Department
Remodel - 2017 project. The awarded Contractor will be assigned the task of remodeling a
portion of the lower level of the Building Department (Old Carnegie Library). The Owner intends to
enter into a Contract with a qualified contractor to complete the Work pursuant to the attached
Drawings and Technical Specifications. The Owner intends to complete this Work as soon as
possible, with substantial completion no later than September 8, 2017.
The Work performed under these Contract Documents includes furnishing all labor, materials,
transportation, equipment, tools, and appurtenances necessary to perform the following tasks:
• Demolish existing sidewalk and entrance stairs leading to the remodel area.
• Install a building sidewalk entrance that is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act
standards.
• Upgrade the existing lower level floor plan, electrical, telecommunication, mechanical, and
plumbing to comply with local and state building codes.
The successful Contractor shall work closely with the Owner and Engineer to complete the Work
in an efficient manner, minimizing disruption of the Cityʼs Building Department.
Sealed Bids for the described Project will be received by the City of Hermiston, at the City of
Hermiston City Hall, 180 N.E. 2nd Street, Hermiston, Oregon 97838, until 2:00 p.m., local time,
June 15, 2017, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Owner
anticipates making the Contract award on June 23, 2017, at the City Council meeting.
The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870,
the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law.
This Project is being funded by the Owner.
