YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED of a Public Hearing to be held
before the Umatilla County Planning Commission on Thursday,
May 25, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Justice Center Media Room,
4700 NW Pioneer Place, Pendleton, OR. A subsequent Public
Hearing before the Umatilla County Board of Commissioners is
scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 9:00 AM in Room
130 of the Umatilla County Courthouse, 216 SE Fourth Street,
Pendleton, OR.
COMPREHENbIVE PLAN TEXT AMENDMENT, #T-17-074,
COLUMBIA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, APPLICANT,
WEbTLAND IRRIGATION DIbTRICT, OWNER. The applicant
requests an amendment of the Comprehensive Plan Text and
approval of an exception to Statewide Planning Goal 11 (Public
Facilities and Services). The exception would allow for a sewer
line extension from the City of Hermiston to the Umatilla Army
Depot (Depot). The proposed sewer line would run west from
the City of Hermiston within the public right of way of Bridge
Road, then west across private lands owned by Westland
Irrigation District, before reaching the Depot. The criteria of
approval are found in Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR)
Chapter 660, Divisions 4 and 11 and the Umatilla County
Development Code Sections 152.750 through 152.755.
