These camps focus on learning the
basics of Leave No Trace camping.
Par cipants will learn outdoor skills
like camping, map and compass

fers camps across the
Northwest for campers
from kindergarten through high
school, even family camps. Camps
vary widely in length and cost, some
include hiking and wilderness camp-
ing. Teens can work on a coastal
documentary fi lm or backpack in
the Canadian Rockies or Olympic
Na onal Park. Residen al camps of-
fer Oregon Coast explora on, teach
desert survival skills, astronomy,

Trackers PDX, Portland. Camps
off ers a large variety of specialty
co-ed camps for youth, grades 5-12.
Overnight camps are held near
Sandy. Most of these camps are
six-day (Sunday to Friday) and cost
$615 and up. Trackers PDX off ers
unique camping experiences such
as role playing, chef-in-training,
Cascade Survival Expedi on, and
farm and folk cra . Longer excur-
sion camps to the San Juan Islands

Weeklong camps run June 16
through Aug. 12. Campers with a
passion for skateboarding, skiing,
snowboarding or BMX will fi nd just
what they’re looking for. These
residen al camps for boys and girls

clusive, with meals, lodging, equip-
ment, and pick-up at PDX airport, if
