Adventure Camps, Pendleton
Parks & Rec. June 19 to July 27, 9
a.m. to 3 p.m. Bust the boredom
with day camp for youth enter-
ing grades 2 to 6 this fall.
From Monday to Thurs-
day camps are off ered at
Pioneer and Commu-
nity parks and include
lunch and a ernoon
snacks. Monday and
Wednesday morn-
ings include ac ve
games, a ernoons,
a quieter cra and
science ac vi es. On
Tuesday and Thursdays,
campers will either go
to the library and gym or
spend the a ernoon at
the Aqua c Center. Cost:
$17 per week. Sign up for

ed two-week adven-
ture camp is off ered

31 to Aug. 10, the same daily mes,
at Pioneer Park’s picnic shelter. Two
adults will supervise every 10 to 12
campers. This special camp is $90
for the two weeks. (Enroll by 7/15;

Rock and Roll Camp XII, Pend-
leton Center for the Arts. Aug.
14-18, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Youth
13 to 18 can rock out for fi ve full
days – for free! West Coast indie
band musicians act as instruc-
tors
for the camp,
which includes a
free daily lunch
and a camp tee
shirt. Musical expe-
rience is not required.
Some teens put together
bands, write original music
and record their songs. Oth-
ers work on rock journal-
ism, pu ng together a
camp zine and genera ng
video for YouTube. The
week ends with a big camp
concert on Main Street.

Spirit Camp, YMCA of Walla Wal-
la. June 19 - Aug. 25 (except July 4),
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Ten weekly

Children from 8 to 10 will enjoy
diff erent weekly themes, including
arts and cra s, science explora on,
swimming, games and fi eld trips.

Camps. Whitman College, Walla
Walla, Aug. 6-9. Extended day camp
