RECORDS Friday, January 13, 2017 PUBLIC SAFETY LOG East Oregonian OBITUARIES WEDNESDAY 12:21 a.m. - Hermiston police received a call about “people over there being suspicious” at a place on Southwest 11th Street. 6:06 a.m. - An Irrigon caller on Southeast Utah Avenue reported a Jeep Grand Cherokee blared music while driving by his house. The caller said it was too early for loud music and that the Jeep ran a stop sign. 7:28 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office responded to Interstate 84 near Pendleton for a vehicle blocking traffic. The sheriff’s office would field several such calls for service throughout the day, as did other agencies, including Umatilla police, which responded to 14 reports of vehicles needing help, including a semi- trailer at 8:35 a.m. that tried to get onto Interstate 82 after it was closed due to the icy conditions. 8:32 a.m. - Staff at Sanitary Disposal Inc., 81144 N. Highway 395, Hermiston, reported finding old check fraud. 10:36 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident on Walla Walla River Road told law enforcement that the man’s grandson has not returned his vehicle. 11:34 a.m. - Staff at Ashley Manor Senior Living, 1365 S.W. Sage Drive, Hermiston, reported a resident attacking caregivers and throwing tables in the dining room. 11:44 a.m. - A Hermiston caller on Northwest 12th Street reported a 14-year-old was out of control, slam- ming doors and throwing things. 1:12 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of a male hitting a female on East Beebe Avenue, but officers could not find anyone suspicious. 2:46 p.m. - Hermiston officers responded to the 1500 block of Northeast 19th Street on a complaint about a vehicle pulling people on a sled. The car and sled were gone before police arrived. 7:28 p.m. - An ambulance transported a man from West Sperry Street, Heppner, after he fell and may have broken his ankle. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Thursday •Hermiston police arrested Cesar Corcuera Jimenez, 26, Of 318 N.W. Yucca Ave., Hermiston, for fourth-degree assault, harassment, possession of methamphetamine, felon in possession weapon, and on multiple warrants. John Kenneth Goodwin Terence Jean Hammons Pendleton October 1, 1924-January 7, 2017 Eugene July 11, 1945-December 31, 2016 John Kenneth Goodwin passed away January 7, 2017, in Pendleton. He served in the U.S. Navy and Army during World War II. His first love was his family. He also enjoyed NASCAR and traveling. He will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Horn Goodwin. He left behind his children Connie Asher of Athena, Ore., Johney Berven of Reedsport, Ore., Joan and husband Joe Escudero of Pendleton, Pamela Colwell of Pend- leton, Rosie and husband Tim Reed of Reith, Henry Goodwin of Colville, Wash., Doug Goodwin of Sandpoint, Ida., and Warren and his wife Pam Goodwin of Priest River, Ida.
