TUESDAY
6:09 a.m. - An Irrigon caller complained about a Jeep
Cherokee and a General Motors Hummer not stopping for the
stop sign at Southeast Bandon Street and Utah Avenue.
10:30 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater woman told police someone
stole cash from her home on the 400 block of South Elizabeth
Street and is using her bank card.
10:42 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to McNary Heights
Elementary School, 120 Columbia Blvd., in regards to some
stolen gym equipment.
11:49 a.m. - Pendleton police and emergency medics
responded to 401 N.W. Bailey Ave. for an assault. Pendleton
Police Chief Stuart Roberts reported officers found a
19-year-old male bleeding profusely from the head, and an
ambulance took him to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton.
“He initially refused to provide any information concerning
the assault,” according to Roberts, “stating he could not
remember.”
Police found the teen told others a man assaulted him with
a flashlight but no one witnessed the assault. The victim also
told police he did not want to pursue the matter.
Later, an officer questioned the victim at the hospital.
Roberts stated the teen “disclosed what he knew, but reiterated
that he did not want the matter investigated. He stated the
person he believes assault him was intoxicated, and ‘people do
stupid things when they are drunk.’”
Roberts also reported officers seized two flashlights from
the possible scene of the assault.
12:43 p.m. - A caller asked to speak to Pilot Rock police
about someone having photos of her passed out and of her
debit card on their cellphone.
1:16 p.m. - A woman reported a dog attacked her Monday
while at her grandmother’s home on Birch Creek Road, Milton-
Freewater, and the dog again is on the loose and preventing
her from getting out of the car.
2:27 p.m. - A Pilot Rock resident asked to speak to police
about harassing calls from collection agencies. The calls have
been happening for more than five years, and five calls came
Monday alone. The collection “agent” also was rude.
3:44 p.m. - A Pendleton man on Northwest Seventh Street
told police he thinks somebody let out his dogs Monday and
Tuesday, which both had temperatures below freezing.
4:06 p.m. - A Pendleton man on Northwest Horn Avenue
reported possible cougar tracks in his yard.
5:48 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received
a call from a woman concerned about the welfare of a dog
in the area of the Mountain Glen Apartments on Northeast
Pioneer Drive, Heppner. Four minutes later, a man living on
Highway 207, Heppner, reported a black dog with snow and ice
matted in its fur and on its paws was at his home and needed
someone to check on its health due to the cold.
5:57 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on North Townsend Road
told law enforcement someone kicked in the door at the house,
stole their mom’s car and brought it back. The caller asked to
speak to a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.
6:08 p.m. - Pendleton police received another complaint
about the same man bothering women at a meeting at Helping
Hand, 346 S.E. Second St. The man and his green Jeep
Cherokee were gone by the time police arrived.
10:06 p.m. - A resident on Columbia Boulevard, Umatilla,
called 9-1-1 to report someone threw her trash at her front door.
Ann Breland, 87, a long-
time Pendleton resident,

nearby Newburgh, Indiana,
that Ann met a young, Missis-

•Pendleton police cited the owner of two dogs that trapped a
woman and her cat.
Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts stated the dogs “are
notoriously at-large” and police have cited their owner multiple
times.
Tuesday a little before 1 p.m. the dogs chased a cat onto
a roof on Northwest 12th Street. The cat’s owner climbed a
ladder to get her cat, according to Roberts, but the dogs stood
at the base of the ladder barking.
“We responded, took possession of the dogs and lodged
them in the pound,” Roberts stated. “The owner of the dogs
claimed them last night, at which time she was issued a citation
for dogs at-large.”
Once officers finish reports, he added, he would review
the facts and circumstances to determine if the dogs are
dangerous.
•Pendleton police arrested Beau Alan Wade, 38, of
Pendleton, for fourth-degree assault constituting domestic
violence.
Mill in Pendleton, where he
