out on the powder for the annual
First Day Snowshoe Hike on Jan. 1!
Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes,
and bring water and a camera or
binoculars. The free, guided
two-mile hike, for age 8 and up,
meets at 11 a.m. at
the Oregon Trail Kiosk
near the entrance to
Emigrant Springs State
Park. A few loaner snow-
shoes may be available; call

math and reading skills in a free
class series. “Li le Moves” is held
