The cat’s owner reported his pet would probably die, and the dogs remained at large. 6:19 p.m. - A Stanfield woman on Stage Gulch Road reported someone with a flashlight was prowling around her home, and she thought it was the same person who tried to get into her vehicle. 6:59 p.m. - A caller on East Theater Lane, Hermiston, reported dogs were attacking the neighbors’ dogs in their own yard, and the neighbors were not home. 7:11 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a plea for help from a young woman in Athena. She said her boyfriend refused to let her take her property from their home and he had assaulted her in the past. She said she was afraid to go to the residence and asked the sheriff’s office to contact her. 8:26 p.m. - A woman returned to her home on Gurdane Road, Pilot Rock, and found someone broke the glass on her back door, entered the house and stole guns and all the tires off the pickup, which were just put on that day. 8:26 p.m. - Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of dog neglect on Southeast Kristen Drive, Irrigon. 9:21 p.m. - A Pendleton caller on Southwest Goodwin Avenue reported a male with a head wound showed up to his apartment stating he was assaulted. ARRESTS, CITATIONS •Oregon State Police in Hermiston arrested a 27-year-old Hermiston man for driving without a license and took him to the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton. While en route to the jail, the man suffered what appeared to be a series of seizures. An ambulance took the man to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton, where police opted to cite and release him.
