Agape House offers
winter assistance
HERMISTON — Parents with
children ages 16 and younger that
are struggling to make ends meet
this fall are invited to a Coats for
Kids event Tuesday, Nov. 1 from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Agape House,
500 W. Harper Road. Each child can
pick out a warm coat for winter
weather, and some coats and other
cold weather a re may also be
available for adults. In addi on,
parents needing fi nancial help can
sign up for Christmas Assistance
during the event.

Start Thanksgiving
with Turkey Trot
ECHO — Looking for an
outdoor family ac vity to get your
Thanksgiving holiday off to a good
start? The Annual Turkey Trot,
sponsored by Club 24, begins with
registra on at 7 a.m. Thursday,
Nov. 24 at Sno Road Winery, 111
W. Main St., Echo. A 1-mile fun run
for kids and a 5K run or walk for all
ages begin at 9 a.m.
Cost to par cipate, which
includes a T-shirt if registered by
Nov. 16, is $15 for adults, $10 for
ages 6-16 and free for children
5 and under ( ny tots wan ng a
T-shirt must register as a youth).
Costumes are highly encouraged.

Puppeteer to perform
all-ages show
PENDLETON — Sarah Frache e
of Puppet Kabob is bringing
an award-winning show to the
Pendleton Center for the Arts.
Frache e will perform “The
Snowfl ake Man” Sunday, Nov. 27 at
2 p.m. in the arts center’s Pearson
Auditorium. The show features
Czech-style marione es and pop-up
backdrops.
