River Point Farms office is located in Hermiston, Oregon. This position

Description
We are looking for a motivated individual with solid experience leading a maintenance department in
support of a modern, automated, 24X7 food processing facility. The successful candidate will have the
drive to develop a world class maintenance department through efficient employee and mechanical
practices to ensure continued success within a team-based, continuous improvement workplace
culture.
Major Responsibilities
Provide leadership for a team of 4
In cooperation with Plant Manager provide plant leadership
Work cooperatively with Plant Manager and operational personnel to ensure success of plant
Perform root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement corrective actions
Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining advanced electrical, computer and PLC systems
Troubleshoot electrical equipment using test equipment and circuit diagrams
Responsible for adjusting machinery and equipment, start-up and testing, renovating and restoring
Responsible for performing electrical maintenance on all plant equipment to include 480V/240V/120V
power systems and making necessary electrical repairs as needed
Responsible for completing repairs in a timely matter; goal is to maintain the highest level of
operational readiness
Responsible for ensuring that all equipment changes, modifications and repairs are conducted and
are in safe operating condition
Prepare written maintenance instructions, records, and procedures
Maintain accurate and timely records
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment
Ensure PM schedules are updated for changes in circumstances
Skills/Characteristics Desired
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
In depth understanding of electrical, mechanical, low voltage and hydraulic principles and systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, mechanical blueprints, electrical
schematics and operating manuals
Experience in the use of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and machine shop equipment
Ability to react positively to rapidly changing priorities
Capable of independently managing multiple tasks and people
Demonstrated initiative and an eagerness to drive continuous improvement
Education & Experience
Minimum 10 years maintenance experience, preferably in a food processing environment
Must be self-motivated
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or mechanical curriculum preferred
Solid knowledge of food safety, GMPs and related regulatory requirements preferred
Solid knowledge of basic math to include working with fractions and decimals, solving simple
algebraic equations and English to metric/metric to English conversion of numbers
Ability to prioritize with good time management skills
Flexibility to work any shift as needed
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
