Purpose: This position is responsible for effectively operating the plant equipment to ensure the quality
and quantity of ethanol fuel production is optimized.
Environment: Pacific Ethanol is the leading producer and marketer of low-carbon renewable fuels in
the western United States. With the addition of four Midwestern ethanol plants in July of 2015, we have
expanded our operations and sales footprint, more than doubling our scale, entering new markets, and
expanding our mission to become the industry leader in the production and marketing of low-carbon
renewable fuels.
The following is a list of essential duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain
supportive duties; this list is not all-inclusive. This job description may be modified as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operates equipment to achieve optimal performance.
2. Adjusts equipment settings to ensure the ethanol produced meets quality and quantity expectations.
3. Inspects and maintains the equipment to ensure proper processing.
4. Inspects the quality and of the product and documents the result at certain intervals of the production
process.
5. Completes daily shift production logs.
6. Coordinates with lab technicians to ensure product quality.
7. Investigates, monitors and reports deviations from production standards.
Education/Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalency.
2. Minimum one-year process and equipment experience.
Qualifications:
1. Excellent computer skills; familiarity with operation software.
2. Excellent hand-eye coordination; safety cautious.
3. Experience working with lab testers and plant equipment.
4. Ability to follow directions, and work well with little supervision.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Driverʼs license.
7. Ability to safely and effectively coordinate multiple projects/tasks.
8. Bilingual skills are (English/Spanish) preferred.
9. Must have the ability to work different shifts and overtime. This includes the possibility of short-term
and long-term shift reassignment to match the needs of the business.

new staff member to help enter orders, track logistics, file and other
tasks as assigned. This position requires a strong working
knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, clerical tasks, basic
office equipment, and strong customer service skills. Some
background in logistics and Microsoft Navision helpful, but not
required. Candidates must be extremely detail oriented, able to
