GUITAR (AGES 8-12)
MIKE KELLISON, INSTRUCTOR
A solid introduction to guitar covering
chords, rhythm and music reading, as well
as care of the instrument itself. This class
will provide the foundation for students to
go on to play all styles of music from rock to
classical to folk; and Mike will incorporate
these styles as students progress. This is
a great class to get kids started in music,
and students who already have experience
playing will improve on their skills by taking
on lead guitar parts in the group.

VIOLIN/FIDDLE: LEVEL 1 (AGES 5-12)*
PEG WILLIS, INSTRUCTOR
This small group lesson is tailored for
young students who have never played
the fi ddle before or have only been playing
the fi ddle for a little while. We’ll start with
the basics (bow hold, fi nger placement,
posture), and then move on to bowing
rhythms and a few songs, putting into
practice the skills that we have learned.
Parents should attend each lesson and
be willing to help their children practice at
home every day— Peg will provide parents
with the skills they need to be involved.
* Learning an instrument takes practice
and support. During class, Peg will provide
information for students and parents about
daily fi ddle practice. Parents should be
prepared to attend each class along with
their child, and are expected to help their
children practice at home every day.

VIOLIN/FIDDLE: LEVEL 2 (AGES 5-12)*
PEG WILLIS, INSTRUCTOR
This small group lesson is for more
experienced students who are comfortable
learning at a faster pace. 1-2 years of
experience playing the fi ddle is desirable.
We will be learning fi ddle songs by ear and

of this group will be to add songs to your
personal repertoire, gain confi dence

and techniques, and most of all have fun.
It’s helpful if parents attend each lesson,
so they can help their children with daily
practice at home.
