an immediate opening for 2 Quality
Assurance Trainees for our CAIP (Customer
Assisted Inspection Program). River Point
Farms office is located in Hermiston, Oregon.
Candidate would be responsible for
inspection and grading of onions according to technically written
federal and state standards. The successful candidate would be
trained in an on-the-job setting by experienced senior inspectors
until he/she is able to determine onion quality accurately.
The CAIP trainee positions involve some shift work and often work 5-
6 days a week. We offer a full benefits package and competitive pay
range depending on experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma
* Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and divi
sion
* Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred.
* Well-organized, able to function well under pressure & with high
volumes.

environment.

Ballot Title: BONDS FOR SAFETY, SECURITY, AND FACILITY
REPAIRS, RENOVATIONS AND ADDITIONS
Question: Shall Umatilla School District construct and improve
schools by issuing $10,500,000 in bonds and receive
$4,000,000 in State grant? If the bonds are approved, they will
be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that
are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of
the Oregon Constitution.
Summary: The currently estimated tax rate is not expected to
increase and is estimated to extend until 2035. Actual rates
may differ based upon interest rates incurred and changes in
assessed value. Bonds would mature in a period not to exceed
19 years.
$4,000,000 in State matching funds have been awarded if
voters approve this measure. If voters reject the measure,
these funds will be diverted to another district.
If approved, the bond and grant proceeds are expected to fund:
- Roof replacements at McNary Heights Elementary School
(MHES) , Clara Brownell Middle School (CBMS), and Umatilla
High School (UHS),
- Entry and office remodeling to limit visitor/ intruder access at
MHES, CBMS, UHS,
- Security updates including cameras and electronic alarms and
lock-down assistance at MHES, CBMS, UHS,
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, window, flooring, and bleacher
replacement at CBMS,
- Cafeteria/Multi-Purpose and learning space addition at MHES,
- HVAC DDC controls at MHES, CBMS, UHS,
- Cooling tower replacement for UHS,
- Site improvements, furnishing and equipping of projects and
bond issuance costs.
