KLAMATH FALLS (AP)
— Authorities have dropped
marijuana possession charges
against a classical cellist from
Minnesota who was stopped
with more than 100 pounds of
marijuana in his car in Oregon
earlier this year.
The Minneapolis Star-Tri-
bune reported Friday that an
OSP trooper found 113 pounds
of marijuana with a street
value estimated at $226,000 in
33-year-old David Huckaby’s
car last February when he was
stopped for speeding near Bly.
Huckaby
—
who
performed with the St. Paul
Chamber Orchestra until 2013
— was charged with misde-
meanor counts of possessing
more than 8 ounces of mari-
juana and unlawful delivery
of marijuana.
His attorney Phil Studen-
berg says a judge this week
suppressed the marijuana as
evidence because the search
of Huckaby’s car wasn’t
legally justiied.
