received a report of a window broken
out of a car in the irst block of Southeast
Third Avenue.

3:29 a.m. - An assault was reported
in the vicinity of the Morrow County
Justice Court, 205 N.E. Main Ave.,
Irrigon. Morrow County sheriff’s depu-
ties are investigating the report.
4:18 a.m. - The Morrow County
Sheriff’s Ofice, Boardman Police
Department and Boardman ambulance
were called to a residence on Wilson
Lane, Boardman, for a woman who
was in a dispute with her boyfriend and
thought she may have a broken arm.
8:50 a.m. - A resident of Edgewater
Condominiums, 27 N.W. 12th St.,
Pendleton, reported his car broken into
sometime during the night.
10:26 a.m. - A blue 2013 Toyota
Prius was reported stolen from the
vicinity of South First Street, Irrigon.
11:17 a.m. - The Morrow County
Sheriff’s Ofice received a report of a
$16,000 sewing machine from a resi-
dence on Depot Lane, Irrigon.
12:58 p.m. - A resident of Baker City
reported the theft of her purse and cell
phone from her unlocked car in the 400
block of South Columbia Street, Milton-
Freewater, about a week earlier.
1:51 p.m. - A man requested contact
from Pendleton police at his home after
another man tried to run over him with
his car near Big John’s Pizza, 225 S.W.

3:02 p.m. - Someone poured paint
stripper on a 2006 Volvo Cross-Country,
reported the car’s owner. She requested
contact from a Pendleton police oficer
at a local body shop.
4:34 p.m. - A man whose car was
backiring took it apart and thinks he
may have found a meth-making device.
He met with a Morrow County sheriff’s
deputy at the sheriff’s ofice in Heppner.
6:15 p.m. - A woman called
Pendleton police to report her license
plates stolen. She said a suspicious
man approached her twice earlier in the
day, once at Jack in the Box and once
at Safeway on Southwest 20th Street,
and he made her very uncomfortable.
She said the theft of her license plates
happened shortly after the second time
he approached her.
8:56 p.m. - A semi truck driver
assaulted another at Pilot Travel Center,
2115 S. Highway 395, Stanield.
9:15 p.m. - Pendleton police were
called after someone passing by
Olney Cemetery, 865 Tutuilla Road,
Pendleton, noticed four or ive people
sitting in a circle inside the cemetery
and chanting.
SATURDAY
4:15 a.m. - A resident of North
First Street, Irrigon, was awoken by
someone throwing rocks through their
bedroom window.
5:57 a.m. - Open manhole covers
were reported near the intersection of
Southeast 10th and Third and later at
12:30 p.m. on Southeast Court Place in
Pendleton.
7:52 a.m. - Stanield police were
again called to Pilot Travel Center, 2115
S. Highway 395, to break up a ight
between semi truck drivers.
10:32 a.m. - The Umatilla County
Sheriff’s Ofice investigated a domestic
violence report at a residence on John
Day Street, Umatilla.
11:42 a.m. - Pendleton police picked
up two irearms that were found laying
on the side of the road near B&M
Manufactured Home Court, 2903 N.E.
Riverside Ave.
2:37 p.m. - A Pendleton ambulance
crew was called to the parking lot of
the Red Lion Inn, 304 S.E. Nye Ave.,
Pendleton, for a motorcycle rider who
was suffering from heat exhaustion.
3:26 p.m. - Scammers caught
another Pendleton resident, who sent
money in the form of two American
Express cards to callers who told her
she had missed jury duty and there
were warrants for her arrest.
6:23 p.m. - A resident of North
Cabana Road, Hermiston, complained
to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s ofice
that a woman is stealing money from
him.
6:49 p.m. - The Morrow County
Sheriff’s Ofice, Boardman Police
Department and Boardman ambulance
were called to a residence on Willow
Fork Drive, Boardman, after a report of
a ight.
7:10 p.m. - A laptop and possibly
other items were reported stolen from a
residence on Wilson Lane, Boardman.
8:36 p.m. - A group of about 20
people, including at least one woman,
were reported ighting on Northeast
Oregon Avenue, Irrigon. The ight had
broken up by the time Morrow County
sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene.
9:54 p.m. - A car prowler stole two
Seattle Seahawks beanies from a
vehicle on North Broad Street, Weston.
11:02 p.m. - A car alarm startled a
possible car prowler on Tyler Road,
Boardman.
SUNDAY
12:05 a.m. - A man called the
Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice after his
wife was allegedly assaulted by another
man and then the couple was stranded
on the side of the road near Baxter Road
and Lark Lane, Hermiston.
12:42 a.m. - A resident of Southeast
Ninth St., Pendleton, called police after
his girlfriend, who was intoxicated, tried
to beat up their dog and their roommate.
2:37 a.m. - Two women reportedly
scufled in a car eastbound on Interstate
84 near Boardman. Morrow County
sheriff’s deputies were unable to ind the
vehicle.
4:07 a.m. - A drunk man walking
down South Main Street, Pendleton,
pounded on doors of at least two houses
in the area.
12:55 p.m. - Stanield police received
a report of car break-ins on West
Furnish Avenue. A valuable knife and a
camoulage container with paperwork
were stolen from one of the vehicles.
1:29 p.m. - Tires were reported
stolen from a semitrailer on an empty lot
on Lind Road, Hermiston.
2:44 p.m. - A residence of Northwest
Oregon Avenue, Irrigon, reported a
woman stole his blue 2010 Dodge
Ram around 9 a.m. The keys were in
the vehicle, he said, but there was very
little fuel in the tank. A Morrow County
sheriff’s deputy took a theft report.
6:01 p.m. - Pendleton police were
called to McKay Creek Elementary
School, 1539 S.W. 44th St., after
someone reported juveniles throwing
cinder blocks off the roof of the school.
7:20 p.m. - A man returned to his
apartment on Southeast Court Place,
Pendleton, after being away for the
weekend and found that someone had
entered his home. He said the apart-
ment was a mess and his cat was dead
and in the refrigerator. He requested
contact from a Pendleton police oficer.
8:10 p.m. - Morrow County sheriff’s
deputies investigated a report of a man
selling copper wire out of the back of his
pickup at the Irrigon Shell Station, 300
S.E. Highway 730.
10:25 p.m. - Cash was reported
stolen from a residence in the 1200
block of South Mill Street, Milton-
Freewater. The homeowner was not
sure if anything else was taken during
the burglary.
11:29 p.m. - The Morrow County
Sheriff’s Ofice responded to a resi-
dence on Wilson Lane, Boardman, after
a caller reported a stranger in the yard
and then yelling and shots ired when
her husband went outside to confront
the prowler.

•Oregon State Police arrested
Lynette Ann McMillion, 28, address not
provided, for driving under the inluence
of a controlled substance (marijuana).
•Pilot Rock police arrested Gregory
Maurice Deboer, 54, address not
provided, after a woman reported he
threw an ax at her and hit her hand
on West Main Street, Pilot Rock. He
was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail,
Pendleton, on a charge of second-de-
gree assault.
•The Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice
arrested Juan Rodriguez Pacheco, 45,
address not provided, for possession of
methamphetamine and second-degree
disorderly conduct.
•Hermiston police arrested April
Mae Buatista, 38, address not provided,
for felon in possession of a weapon,
second-degree use of stun gun/treated
gas/mace and second-degree disor-
derly conduct.
Saturday
•Oregon State Police cited and
released Rolando Garcia Madrigal, 18,
Milton-Freewater, for duii-controlled
substance (marijuana) and failure to
carry/present operator’s license.
•Pendleton police arrested Katrina
Marie Bass, 29, address not provided,
for possession of methamphetamine,
interfering with a peace oficer, resisting
arrest and theft of lost/mislaid property.
The Morrow County Sheriff’s ofice
arrested Patricia Hurd-Pardee, 30,
address not provided, for irst-degree
assault, a felony, and misdemeanor
menacing and lodged her at the Umatilla
County Jail, Pendleton, after she threat-
ened another woman with a knife at the
Irrigon Shell Station, 300 S.E. Highway
730.
•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Joel
Malcom Salt, 26, address not provided,
for domestic abuse and assault.
•Umatilla Tribal Police also arrested
Candace Marie Allen, 30, address nor
provided, for duii (alcohol).
•Pendleton police arrested John

gott Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is open to
all college undergraduates,
with a preference given to
students in their sophomore
year or above. The fund was
established in memory of
Mrs. McElligott, who passed
away in 1993 after a battle
with cancer.
The Maryan L. McElli-
gott Memorial Scholarship
fund makes annual awards
to graduates of Ione High
School who are enrolled or
will be enrolled in a full-
time undergraduate course
of study at any accredited
post-secondary institution,
including out-of-state institu-
tions. Applicants, including

year as long as they meet the
eligibility requirements. All
