12:29 a.m. - A Pendleton woman on Southwest Marshall
Avenue asked police to send an oficer because her ex-boy-
friend has been stalking her house.
1:23 a.m. - A male punched the drive-through window at
Jack in the Box, 1904 S.W. Court Place, Pendleton, and then
urinated in the drive-through.
11:12 a.m. - A Pendleton woman reported a male came to
her residence at Indian Hills Village Apartments, 1335 S.W.
Second St., Pendleton, and threatened to assault her.
12:51 p.m. - Two raccoons climbed into a tree on a Pilot
Rock man’s property at Southwest 10th Street.
1:52 p.m. - A mail carrier asked for a welfare check for a
man on West Hermiston Avenue because his mail is piling
up.
3:52 p.m. - Pilot Rock police checked into a solid waste
complaint on the 100 block of South Alder Street.
5:54 p.m. - Two “kids” looked like they were trying to
get into vehicles in the Safeway parking lot, according to a
caller, and were walking across Highway 395 on North Fourth
Street. At 6:24 p.m. a man reported his car had been stolen
after it was parked there since 8 a.m.
6:37 p.m. - Scammers trapped another local victim. A
Stanield woman reported two men pretending to be “Capt.
Holloway and Lt. Doyle” with the Umatilla County Sheriff’s
Ofice scammed her out of more than $900. The sheriff’s
ofice has no such captain or lieutenant.
8:46 p.m. - Pendleton police looked for but did not ind a
boy around 12 years old that a caller reported threw rocks
at Washington Elementary School, 1205 S.E. Byers Ave.,
Pendleton.
8:48 p.m. - A woman on Northwest 11th Street, Hermiston,
reported she found a possible pipe bomb in her mailbox and
moved the item into her house.
9 p.m. - A resident on Chukar Circle, Umatilla, complained
about the neighbor’s pit bull dog always at large.
9:27 p.m. - A crisis team received a call to help a suicidal
person in Pendleton.
WEDNESDAY
12:35 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater man discovered someone
entered his house on the 100 block of North Main Street and
stole several bottles of cologne.
12:45 a.m. - Pendleton police received a 9-1-1 call about
a suspicious situation at Knights Inn, 310 S.W. Dorion Ave.
The caller reported a man in his mid-50s was with three
underage girls who “seemed to be terriied but loyal” to the
man and would not do anything without his permission. The
caller was worried about the girls.
3:04 a.m. - A Hermiston woman on Northwest 12th Street
reported a burglar came through the back window and stole
$500 in change sometime between 5 p.m. and 2 a.m.
6:50 a.m. - Someone slashed tires on two vehicles on
the 100 block of South Columbia Street, Milton-Freewater.
Almost 12 hours later, a Milton-Freewater business owner
on the same street reported several broken windows at his
establishment.
6:56 a.m. -Someone stole an 8-foot-by-12-foot metal
frame and chassis for a latbed trailer from Fenders By
Enders, 1845 N. First Place, Hermiston.
7:04 a.m. - A thief stole tools from a shed on the 900 block
of Cowl Street, Milton-Freewater.
9:04 a.m. - A caller told Pendleton police she saw a
20-something man ight a teen at Northwest Carden Avenue
and 14th Street and another teen shook the hand of the
young man.
10:25 a.m. - An offensive odor from a home on Southwest
Cedar Street, Pilot Rock, prompted a neighbor to complain
about the stench.
11:03 a.m. - An administrator at the Guardian Angel
Homes assisted living facility in Hermiston reported one
resident punched another in the stomach, but no medical
treatment was needed.
11:13 a.m. - A woman asked for an oficer to come
discipline a disrespectful child at Sunset Park in Hermiston.
She said it was not her child, but the child’s mother was also
at the park.
11:40 a.m. - Stanield police received a report about a
delusional man knocking around a cat in a pet carrier on
South Main Street.
11:59 a.m. - A Hermiston woman reported a neighbor is
constantly yelling at her and her kids when they are outside
playing at their home on East Wilshire Avenue. She wanted
an oficer to come to the house. At 12:03 p.m. on nearby
Northeast Third Street, a woman reported a 12-year-old boy
comes to her house and yells profanities and that he is not
afraid of her. That woman also requested contact.
12:26 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater property owner reported
a tenant left a residence on Walla Walla River Road and took
two window air conditioning units, a furnace, a 16-foot metal
gate and smaller items, and he also damaged the property.
12:38 p.m. - Employees of Circle K, 335 S.E. Court Ave.,
Pendleton, discovered someone passed the business a fake
$100 bill.
12:53 p.m. - A big dog locked inside a Red Kia in the
Hermiston Big 5 parking lot was reported to police by an
anonymous caller.
1:16 p.m. - A Hermiston-area man reported someone
hacked his Facebook account and posted fake photos of him
and want him to pay money.
13:48 p.m. - The tenant that left a home on Diagonal
Road, Hermiston, also left behind three goats.
3:38 p.m. - Pendleton police warned the owner of a little
white dog after a caller reported the animal entered her
yard on Southeast Sixth Street and tried to bite her disabled
mother.
6:27 p.m. - A man living on Michaels Lane, Hermiston,
reported someone just blew his mailbox to pieces with an
explosion powerful enough to rock the house. Nothing was
on ire, he said, and he saw no one around the mailbox
before or after the explosion.
7:50 p.m. - A caller told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice
his neighbors on Wagon Wheel Loop, Irrigon, were shooting
guns in the direction of another neighbor’s house. A deputy
talked to the suspect and found a different resident to the
east was setting off ireworks.
8:08 p.m. - Juveniles were under the 10th Street Bridge,
Pendleton, and the youngest children were trying to climb the
bridge. They were gone by the time police arrived.
8:43 p.m. - A woman reported her purse was stolen out of
her shopping cart at Fiesta Foods, Hermiston, while she was
loading her groceries, and asked for police contact.
11:53 p.m. - A bartender at Midway Tavern, Hermiston,
reported a male started a verbal altercation with two others
inside the bar and then began running around in the road on
Highway 395. He had been at the bar for about 5-6 hours,
had about 3 beers and had been playing pool, but she didn’t
know his name. The other bartender was keeping an eye on
him.
11:59 p.m. - A woman said she heard a ight at one of the
entrances to Sundial Apartments, 1650 W. Sunland Ave.,
Hermiston, but couldn’t see anything.

Tuesday
•Milton-Freewater police arrested David Jose Tiscareno,
33, of 608 N.E. Fifth Ave., Milton-Freewater, on a Umatilla
County warrant and for possession of methamphetamine.
Wednesday
•Pendleton police arrested Michaela Elizabeth McCarty,
27, of Pendleton, for identity theft.
•Oregon State Police arrested Raymundo de Jesus Chico,
44, no address provided, for felony hit and run.
•Hermiston police arrested William Hugh Vertrees, 44, no
address provided, for second-degree disorderly conduct and
felony duii.

Pendleton student named to dean’s list
LACEY Wash. – Saint Martin’s University has issued its
spring semester 2016 Dean’s List for outstanding academic
achievement. Evan Lake of Pendleton, a junior studying
English, was among the students honored.
To earn academic honors at Saint Martin’s, undergraduate
students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher (based
on a 4.0 scale), carry at least a 12-semester-hour course load
and complete all coursework undertaken for the semester.
