11:02 a.m. - A dog attacked a male on East High Street,
Athena, biting his elbows and legs. The victim said the dog
belonged to neighbors and he would wait for law enforcement at
his home.
6:50 p.m. - A Umatilla man at Marina Apartments, 1600
Second St., reported someone scratched and threw eggs on his
1998 Chevrolet Tahoe.
5:19 p.m. - An aggressive dog chased a calf that was only a
few days old on Forcade Lane, Hermiston. The livestock owner
also reported the dog, which belongs to neighbors, may have
killed three of his chickens last week.
SATURDAY
1:11 a.m. - Neighbors on Southwest 11th Street, Hermiston,
complained about the racket from a large party, prompting police
to issue a warning.
1:26 a.m. - But there was no indication law enforcement
warned the party at the blue house near Cobb Road and
Highway 339, Milton-Freewater, after a caller complained about
noise and people being loud outside.
2:19 a.m. - A drunk male at Abel’s Gotta Stop, 131 Sixth St.,
Umatilla, cried, was abusive and destroyed property.
10:01 a.m. - A Weston man on North Franklin Street reported
he had to put down his dog after someone jumped his fence and
kicked the animal.
6:33 p.m. - A Stanield man reported he rents from his
mother, who comes onto the property and now took some of his
tools and locked them in the garage.
6:48 p.m. - A caller told Pilot Rock police he was house-sit-
ting for his parents on Southwest Birch Street and three days
ago found a door open but at the time thought he left it open.
He closed and locked it, he said, but returned Friday and saw it
was open and the home was missing cash and there were beer
bottles inside.
6:59 p.m. - The wife of a Weston man reported a black-
and-white pit bull dog entered their yard on South Washington
Street, chased her husband, tried to attack their dog and was
preventing her from getting into the house.
7:34 p.m. - And in yet another dog complaint, a man on Fifth
Street, Umatilla, reported the neighbor’s pit bull dog tried to
attack his dog and this was not the irst time.
8:24 p.m. - A motorcyclist reported he was riding at about 7
p.m. at Westland and Bridge roads, Hermiston, when he saw
four members of the outlaw Mongols Motorcycle Club heading
into Hermiston.
SUNDAY
7:38 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to Columbia Crest
Apartments, 1500 Third St., Umatilla, for a male beating a
female.
3:01 p.m. - A Pendleton man on Valley View Drive reported
the neighbor’s dog attacked his cat, and if the dog comes back
onto his property, he will kill it.
9:27 p.m. - A man reported he parked his vehicle next to
his father’s house on Appleton Road, Milton-Freewater, and the
neighbor was verbally abusive and released the dog to attack
them.
George N. Trotter Sr. was
born on September 18, 1944,
in Nashville, Tennessee, to
parents Ewing and Bertha
Whittle Trotter. He died on
July 3, 2016, at his home in
Hermiston, Oregon, at the age
of 71 years.
He was raised and attended
schools in Tennessee.
George was united in
marriage to Dorothy
Ramsey on October 9,
1965, in Milton Free-
water, Oregon. They
lived in Pendleton,
Oregon, until 1966
when they moved
to Tennessee. They
moved to Hermiston,
Oregon, in 1969
where they have lived Trotter
since.
George worked for a short
time at Marlette Homes and
then for the city of Hermiston,
Ore., as a police oficer and
ireman/EMT. He began his
career as a conductor for the
Union Paciic Railroad in 1973
and it continued for 31 years
until his retirement in 2004.
George enjoyed hunting,
ishing, music, playing on his
computer, his dogs, and most
of all cherished time with his
grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife
of 50 years, Dorothy Trotter,
Hermiston, Ore.; sons Dennis
Trotter, Camas, Wash., and
George Trotter Jr., Hermiston,
Ore.; brothers Danny of
Missouri, Henry of Idaho
and Jack of Tennessee; sisters
Mary, Linda and Martha, all
of Tennessee; granddaughters
Steffany, Kelsey and Rachael;
great-grandchildren
Colton,
Hailey,
Bryson, Noah and
Luke; and numerous
nieces, nephews and
cousins.
George
was
preceded in death by
his parents, siblings
Dorothy, Charles, Joe
and Jimmy, and an
infant sister.
A celebration of
life service will be
held on Friday, July 8, 2016,
at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Mortuary
chapel, Hermiston, Oregon.
Burial will follow at the Herm-
iston Cemetery, Hermiston,
Oregon.

broke into her house and assaulted her at 6:45 a.m. then left in
a Chevrolet Suburban but threatened to return.
4:39 p.m. - Six dogs were in a vehicle with the windows
closed at Crossroads Truck Stop, 2020 U.S. 730, Umatilla.
7:54 p.m. - An Irrigon man on Southeast California Avenue
reported people tried to sell him illegal ireworks and talked
about how they could not wait to ignite them.
8:19 p.m. - A caller told Pendleton police she and her friends
gave food to an intoxicated 15-year-old male and a juvenile
female at Roy Raley Park, 1205 S.W. Court Ave., and were
waiting with them at the shelter in the park.
8:43 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice received
an emergency report of a male hitting a female at a home on
Diagonal Road, Hermiston.
8:43 p.m. - Three people in life vests clung to a Jet Ski with
a dead battery until help arrived near islands in the Columbia
River west of Paterson, Washington.
9:40 p.m. - Someone hit a 19-year-old male in the head with
a brick at the Sinclair Dino Mart, 100 N. Main St., Boardman.
Multiple agencies responded, and an ambulance took the victim
to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.
10:43 p.m. - Pendleton emergency services responded to a
report of a father and daughter locked in a restroom at the south
end of Bedford Bridge on Southwest 18th Street.

Saturday
•Oregon State Police arrested Clint Allen Haury, 33, of Walla
Walla, for driving under the inluence of intoxicants (alcohol) and
driving while suspended. OSP reported his blood alcohol level
was .21 percent, almost three times the legal limit of .08 percent.
Monday
•Pendleton police at 9:18 p.m. responded to a domestic
disturbance call on the 500 block of Southwest 19th Street.
Oficers arrested Ryan Scott Sullivan, 30, of Pendleton, on three
warrants and for resisting arrest, three counts of credit card
fraud, which is a felony, and three counts of second-degree
theft, a misdemeanor.
Police also arrested Amber Nicole Sullivan, 28, of Pendleton,
for interfering with a peace oficer and second-degree disorderly
conduct.
•Oregon State Police arrested Cristian Alajandro Rodriguez,
19, no address provided, for possession of methamphetamine
and felony probation violation.
•Milton-Freewater police arrested Victor Saldana, 22, of 642
Pierce St., Milton-Freewater, for duii.
