land “in trust”. The purpose of the 30 day waiting period is to
afford interested parties the opportunity to seek administrative
review of the decision to take land “in trust” for Tribes before
transfer of title to the properties occurs.
The Superintendent, Umatilla Agency, on behalf of the Secretary
of Interior, shall acquire title for the above described real property
in the name of the United States of America in trust for the
Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation no
sooner than 30 days after the initial date this notice is published
