DEQ invites the public to attend a public meeting and to
comment on the conditions of a proposed hazardous waste
permit modification for Chemical Waste Management of the
Northwest, Inc. (CWMNW) facility located at 17629 Cedar
Springs Lane in Arlington. CWMNW is seeking a permit
modification to improve the efficiency of the groundwater
monitoring program. The changes proposed are to combine the
facilityʼs Waste Management Areas (WMAs) 1 and 3, reduce the
frequency of sampling in the lower aquifer of the groundwater
monitoring detection wells, and minimize and/ or eliminate
redundancies in the sampling program. The resultant
groundwater monitoring meets or exceeds all the requirements
for a groundwater system as identified In RCRA regulations.
