General Description : The Custodian performs routine cleaning,
grounds keeping, repairing and related work to ensure the daily
operation of the schools.
Full-time : 11am-7pm Monday-Friday
Salary Range : $17.23-$22.74 per hour with excellent benefits
package
Terms of Employment: Twelve (12) months and as specified in the
collective bargaining agreement.
Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable of up-to-date cleaning
methods, materials, and power equipment used in custodial care of
a school facility. Must be competent in the use of equipment and
tools used in facility grounds keeping and light maintenance.
Abilities: Must be able to perform manual labor, follow work plans
and /or schedules, define and perform minor maintenance and
repair. Must have the ability to maintain harmonious working
relationships with other employees and the public. Be able to follow
oral and written instructions accurately.
Educational/Vocational Preparation: High School diploma or
proof of equivalent.
Specialized Demands: Valid Oregon Driverʼs license with a good
driving record. Background check will be required.

SUMMARY
QA Supervisor will direct quality assurance activities at the facility
they are assigned. The primary purpose of the position is to oversee
collection of data that evaluate the quality of incoming raw product
and finished goods quality. The QA Supervisor must be able to
effectively communicate both verbal and written information about the
product quality to management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop written procedures for sampling loads of incoming and
outgoing onions.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of onion grades and quality
expectations of our customers.
• Supervise all QA personnel and maintain integrity among the staff.
• Monitor grading accuracy on a daily basis.
• Supervise the collection of food safety monitoring logs.
• Evaluate the facility compliance with regards to food safety
requirements.
• Develop and maintain all SOP to meet all appropriate food safety
requirements.
• Prepare documentation necessary for food safety audits.
• Conduct in house and third party audits on the appropriate
schedules and complete necessary paperwork.
• Provide training as necessary to assure QA personnel are
adequately trained for their position requirements.
• Inspect packaging materials for compliance with food safety
requirements and customer specifications.
• Bilingual a plus
EDUCATION
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE
One to two years of experience including Quality system in the food
industry Knowledge of TQM, HACCP and SSOP

NOTICE OF DISTRICT MEASURE ELECTION
Notice is hereby given on March 8, 2016 that a measure election
will be held in Athena-Weston SD #29RJ, located in Umatilla
County, Oregon on May 17, 2016. The following is the final ballot
title of the measure to be submitted to the districtʼs voters.
Caption: BONDS FOR SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS, ENERGY
SAVINGS, UPGRADES AND BUSES
Question: Shall Athena Weston School District improve schools
and purchase buses; issue $4,000,000 in bonds and receive
$4,000,000 in State grants? If the bonds are approved, they will
be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are
not subject to the limits of section 11 and 11b, Article XI of the
Oregon Constitution.
Summary: $4,000,000 in State funds have been awarded to the
District to help finance school improvements and protect the
community's investment in the schools if voters approve this
bond measure. If voters reject this bond measure, the State
funds will be diverted to another district.
If approved, proceeds of the bonds and grants are expected to
fund capital costs for:
- School security and student and staff safety features at all
schools.
- Replacement of roofs and heating and/or providing air
conditioning systems at various locations.
- Repairs, upgrades and renovations at all schools, including
tennis courts and energy efficiency improvements to reduce
operating costs.
- Replacement bus purchases.
- Technology infrastructure upgrades at all schools.
- Site improvements and costs associated with issuing and
selling bonds.
Bonds would mature in a period not to exceed ten (10) years
from the date of issuance. The estimated tax rate is
approximately $1.45 per $1,000 of assessed value. Actual rates
may differ.
