SUMMARY
QA Supervisor will direct quality assurance activities at the facility
they are assigned. The primary purpose of the position is to oversee
collection of data that evaluate the quality of incoming raw product
and finished goods quality. The QA Supervisor must be able to
effectively communicate both verbal and written information about the
product quality to management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop written procedures for sampling loads of incoming and
outgoing onions.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of onion grades and quality
expectations of our customers.
• Supervise all QA personnel and maintain integrity among the staff.
• Monitor grading accuracy on a daily basis.
• Supervise the collection of food safety monitoring logs.
• Evaluate the facility compliance with regards to food safety
requirements.
• Develop and maintain all SOP to meet all appropriate food safety
requirements.
• Prepare documentation necessary for food safety audits.
• Conduct in house and third party audits on the appropriate
schedules and complete necessary paperwork.
• Provide training as necessary to assure QA personnel are
adequately trained for their position requirements.
• Inspect packaging materials for compliance with food safety
requirements and customer specifications.
• Bilingual a plus
EDUCATION
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE
One to two years of experience including Quality system in the food
industry Knowledge of TQM, HACCP and SSOP

NOTICE OF DISTRICT MEASURE ELECTION
Notice is hereby given on February 18, 2016 that a measure
election will be held in Echo School District 5R, located in
Umatilla County, Oregon on May 17, 2016. The following is the
final ballot title of the measure to be submitted to the districtʼs
voters.
Caption: Authorizes General Obligation Bonds for Echo School
District
Question: Shall the District issue $4,000,000 bonds to provide
instructional spaces, gymnasium, student safety, community
center; obtain a $4,000,000 State grant? If the bonds are
approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property
ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and
11b, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution.
Summary: If the bonds are approved, the State will provide a
$4,000,000 grant for the project. If not approved, these State
funds will go to another District. In addition, the District will apply
for additional grants to defray some of the costs of the projects.
Passage of this measure will finance construction, renovation,
equipping and furnishing school facilities including:
• Increase classroom spaces to address the 20% enrollment
increase over the past five years.
• New regulation gymnasium for meeting state PE time
requirements and hosting tournaments and activities. Echo is
only school in our league with only one gym.
• Replace building and expand Career and Technical Education,
integrating Science, Ag, Art, and CTE. Additional matching
grant funds are available for these programs
• Address student safety recommendations
• Provide flexible community space for the Pioneer Senior
Center and a community fitness room
• Upgrades to elementary restrooms
• Elementary Reading area
Bonds would mature in a period not to exceed 21 years from
date of issuance and may be issued in one or more series.

to operate an asphalt batch plant and concrete manufacturing

quarry is zoned Exclusive Farm Use (EFU) with Aggregate
Resource overlay (AR). The proposed expansion area is
currently zoned EFU.

County Development Code 152.487 - 488, 152.615 and

permit request includes a project substation proposed on
industrial zoned land owned by Smith Frozen Foods and

proposed substation would be located on land south of the
current PacifiCorp substation and east of the Smith Frozen
Foods wastewater pond. The request includes a Land Use
Decision to construct a 34.5 kV underground transmission line
within public right of way from Ferguson Ranch property (Tax Lot
4900) to the project substation proposed on industrial land (Tax
Lot 500) within the Urban Growth Boundary of the City of
Weston.
The Conditional Use Permit Standards applicable to the
applicant's request are found in the Umatilla County
Development Code Sections 152.616 (HHH), 152.615, 152.061
and in the City of Weston Development Code Sections 4.4 and
2.3.160. The Land Use Decision Standards applicable to the
request are found in Umatilla County Development Code
Sections 152.617 (II) (7).
