Sue Greenup, Heppner, placed at the top in
the livestock judging at the recent 4-H Live-
stock Field Day. Thirty-six 4-H club members
from throughout the county competed. Out
of a possible 800 points Sue had a score of
606.2. She is the 14-year-old daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Don Greenup, and has been active in
4-H since she was old enough to join.

Feb. 13-14, 1991
Bryan Wolfe has dramatically reduced irri-
gation water use to grow his corn crop, but that
didn’t stop him from producing the highest
yield ever measured on his 800-acre farm in
Umatilla County. The yield was not only the
highest among irrigated no-till corn produced
in the state, but it also was the third highest
YHUL¿HG\LHOGLQWKHFRXQWU\DWWRQVRU

1990 National Corn Yield Contest, sponsored
by the National Corn Growers Association.
He has entered the contest four other times
