Bulldogs dominate rivalry dual
DURHAM, N.C. (AP)
— Oregon coach George
Horton has been named
manager
of the
2016 USA
Baseball
Collegiate
National
Team.
USA Baseball also
announced Thursday that
Jason Gill, Mitch Karraker,
David Pierce, Dave Serrano,
and Dave Snow would serve
as assistants.
Horton, an assistant
on the 2012 Collegiate
National Team, is entering
his eighth season at
Oregon. He’s led the Ducks
WR1&$$UHJLRQDOV¿YH
of the last seven seasons.
Horton previously coached
Cal State Fullerton,
winning the national
championship in 2014.
The Collegiate National
Team will train in Fullerton,
California, and compete
against teams in the California
Collegiate League from June
28 to July 2. The team will
follow with trips to Chinese
Taipei, Japan and Cuba.

the city were chosen by
the LeBron James Family
Foundation as a reward
for sportsmanship and
leadership.

PENDLETON — There didn’t appear
to be much Daylon Eng could do to avoid
the inevitable.
Trailing 6-3 with time running out in
the third period, it had been nearly four
minutes since the Hermiston 113-pound
sophomore had been able to score a point
against Pendleton’s Chris Chambers.
