Regarding Fiscal Challenges
and Opportunities
City of Irrigon Residents are encouraged
to come and share their thoughts and
ideas on ways that Irrigon can improve its
fiscal strength so that the City can con-
tinue to provide services desired and re-
quired.
Some ideas were put forward but the City
Council desires to hear from you with solu-
tions and suggestions to assist in their de-
cision-making process. Please see City
Staff for more detailed information on
some proposed options.
• Street User Fee: $3.00 per month for
street maintenance and repair. This will
allow the City to also dedicate resources
toward street improvements.
• Street Light User Fee: $2.00 per month
to assist with street light maintenance
and installing new lighting across the
City for improved safety and security in
neighborhoods and intersections.
• Police User Fee: $5.00 per month to pay
extra police coverage beyond county
taxation and statute requirements.
• Creation of a Special Law Enforcement
District: This was presented form local
residents and would create a tax
increase.

council chambers of the Hermiston City
Hall, 180 N.E. 2nd Street, Hermiston, Ore-
gon. The purpose of the hearing is to con-
sider an amendment to the City of Hermis-
ton Transportation System Plan.
The proposed text amendment is available
for inspection at no cost at the Planning
Department office located in the City Hall,
180 N.E. 2nd Street, Hermiston, Oregon.
A copy of the proposed amendment can
be purchased at cost.
The proposed amendment to the transpor-
tation system plan will amend the 2003
Hermiston TSP 395 Corridor Refinement
Plan. The amendment to the corridor plan
amends the street circulation plan and
adds a new signal to service proposed re-
tail and existing industrial development.

proposed amendment, please contact the

The planning commission will not take ac-
tion on the proposed changes until the
hearing is complete and the adjacent
prop-
erty owner concerns are heard. Failure to

spond to the issue precludes appeal to the
Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) or the
