boyfriend assaulted him at Wild Rose RV Park, 1500 S.E.
Byers Ave., Pendleton.

man has been gone for several days. The caller said he left
with others to pick up pallets and take them to Pendleton and
was to be back Monday afternoon but has not been in touch
since leaving, and his cellphone goes straight to voice mail.
8:08 a.m. - A Pendleton mother told police she got home
and found her daughter had marijuana.
9:57 a.m. - A Umatilla-area woman reported a male is
staying in a silver and green Ford pickup on property next to
hers for the last year. She asked law enforcement to check
on him because he watches her niece and she is not sure
he is allowed to be there. She also asked about extra patrols
through the area.
10:19 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater man on Kiel Lane
reported a neighbor’s dogs constantly enter his yard, and
Monday night something killed his chickens. He said he
cannot prove it was the dogs, but asked to speak to a
Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.
12:15 p.m. - A female told Pendleton police that people

7:04 p.m. - A caller in Echo reported people in a silver
Dodge pickup were “spotlighting” along Snow Road and this
has been going on for the past few months. The caller asked
for law enforcement to talk to the spotlighters.
7:28 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report from South
Main Street of a 9-year-old child having a melt down and
threatening to hurt himself.

Jack Mounts, 92, of
Gresham, died Monday, Jan.
11, 2016, at a care facility in
The Dalles, Oregon. A grave-
side service with
military honors will
be held on Saturday,
Jan.16, 2016, at 11
a.m. at the Lexington
Cemetery.
He was born
Dec. 27, 1924, at San Pedro,
California, the son of Samuel
and Alice Kandie Mounts.
He was raised and attended
school at San Pedro where he
graduated from high school.
He then attended Whittier
College and the University of
California, Berkeley gradu-
ating in 1950.
On April 22, 1956, he
married Audrey Majeske
at Lexington, Oregon. The
couple lived in California,
Colorado, Louisiana and
Washington, as well as
Heppner, Maupin and Port-
land, Oregon. Jack worked
for the U.S. Forest Service
from 1950 until his retirement
in 1978.
Jack loved golf and
played in all kinds
of weather until age
82, he also enjoyed
boating, camping,
and ¿shing with his
son and traveling
with his wife,
Audrey, who preceded him
in death in 2013. He was a
Boy Scout leader, active in
PTA, Lions Club, American
Legion, Elks Lodge, and the
Izaak Walton League.
He is survived by his son
Stephen, a grandson Kenneth,
granddaughter Jana and
great-grandsons Colton and
Beckett.
