THURSDAY
8:49 a.m. - A Pendleton man told police someone posted
a video of him on Facebook and YouTube. He identiied who
he suspected posted the video and asked to speak with an
oficer.
4:30 p.m. - A caller told Pendleton police he would sign
a citation against a driver who almost drove into another
vehicle and ran a red light on the overpass at the intersection
of Westgate Drive and Highway 37 before stopping at the
Frontier Tavern, 129 S.W. 18th St., Pendleton.
9:30 p.m. - Someone frightened a Pendleton woman with
pounding from the back side of an alley on Southeast Sixth
Street and shaking the walls in her apartment for half an hour.
FRIDAY
12:19 a.m. - A prowler tapped on the back window of a
woman’s residence on Third Street, Umatilla. Police did not
ind anyone slinking around.
2:35 a.m. - A woman told police she put her Chihuahua
out at Columbia Crest Apartment, Umatilla, and saw a stocky
male in dark pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt messing with
a silver car and pickup. The dog chased the male, who took
off down Third Street toward Brownell Avenue. Police did not
ind the suspect.
4:16 a.m. - An Oregon State Police trooper found two gut
piles on Highway 244 near mileposts 8 and 9 but was not
sure if there was any game violation there. The trooper later
received third-hand information that tribal members killed
game animals in the area.
5:21 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident on the 1200 block
of College Street reported someone crashed a vehicle into his
rock retaining wall.
11:19 a.m. - A driver struck an electrical box on the 1000
block of Davis Street, Milton-Freewater.
11:52 a.m. - A Pendleton woman on South Main Street
reported someone egged her car and others during the night.
1:27 p.m. - A caller reported someone broke into her
storage unit at Centerville RV Park, Athena, and may have
broken into others as well.
5:06 p.m. - A man told Umatilla police his girlfriend was
“acting crazy” and had a knife.
SATURDAY
1:32 a.m. - A man at Basket Mountain Road and South
Main Street, Milton-Freewater, found a brindle boxer that
appears to have been shot in the neck but was alive. He said
he moved the dog and covered it with a blanket. He also said
there were boot prints to and from the animal in the snow.
10:59 a.m. - A caller from Space Age Fuel, Hermiston,
used a racial slur in describing a semi driver wearing a blue
turban as angry. A dispatcher asked the caller how he could
tell the man was angry. The caller said he was 54 years old
and worked in customer service most of his life and you could
tell by the way the man walked and glared. He also said he
called after the man left.
10:59 a.m. - Umatilla police received a call of someone
throwing beer bottles out the window of an older green Ford
Escort at Umatilla River Road and Bonney Lane.
2:31 p.m. - A man told law enforcement his ex-employee
pushed him, refused to leave property on Cooney Lane,
Hermiston, and threatened to use a crowbar to hit him. The
caller said he would wait for contact.
SUNDAY
1:05 a.m. - A Pilot Rock woman called 9-1-1 after her
neighbor drove through their alleyway, pushed her husband
to the ground and tried to run her over when he left. She
identiied the neighbor and stated he was intoxicated. She
also said he believed he would return to cause more trouble.
2:49 p.m. - Umatilla police received a report of a dog tied
to a backpack in the middle of the road at Columbia Boulevard
and Covina Court, Umatilla.
ARRESTS, CITATIONS
Friday
•An Oregon State Police trooper responded to a report at
6:27 a.m. of a male sleeping on the concrete loor of a Pilot
Rock carport when the temperature was all of 17. He refused
to provide information about who he was, and the trooper
arrested him for second-degree disorderly conduct. Staff at
the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, identiied him as being
17, so he received a citation and law enforcement gave him a
ride to his residence.
•Hermiston police arrested Felix Mendoza-Carrollo, 24, of
Hermiston, for fourth-degree assault.
•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Alice Virginia Brooks, 36,
no address provided, for assault.
•Oregon State Police arrested Onorio Jaime Ibarra, 26,
of Hermiston, on two misdemeanor warrants and one felony
warrant and for irst-degree burglary, possession of metham-
phetamine and fourth-degree assault.
•Pendleton police arrested Nathaniel Gregory Tilden
Williams, 27, of Pendleton, for fourth-degree assault, strangu-
lation and resisting arrest.
Sunday
•Milton-Freewater police arrested Jeffery Allen Fields, 45,
of Milton-Freewater, for second-degree burglary, third-degree
theft and second-degree trespass.
•Hermiston police arrested Dillon Scott Carter, 18, of
Hermiston, for possession of a stolen vehicle.

C.G. (Chuck) Glass, 75,
of Hermiston passed away on
Thursday, Dec. 24th, 2015, at
Trios Hospital in Kennewick,
Washington.
He was born on
March 13, 1940, in
Pocatello, Idaho, to
parents James and
Wilda Glass. James
had immigrated to
the United States
from
Scotland.
Chuck was very
proud of being a
first-generation
American and of
his Scots heritage.
His mother went
to Prosser to care
for her mother with
Chuck and his sister Glass
Karen. His parents
then
divorced.
After his mother married Lee
Wyckoff the family moved to
Hermiston. Brother Bill and
sister Mary Ann joined the
family. Chuck enlisted in the
U.S. Navy after high school.
He was stationed at Midway
Island and Stockton, Cali-
fornia, as a storekeeper. He
was honored to be a veteran.
After his service he came
back home to Hermiston and
married Carol Dicken. Son
Tim and daughter Lori were
added to the family. Later the
couple divorced.
He was employed with
Union Paciic Railroad for
41 years in the Carman
Department. He also was a
cook on the Derailment Crew
at Hinkle. For many years he
was the Santa and rode in on
a 1920s railroad motor car
to Maxwell Siding Railroad
Museum.
In 1975 Chuck married
Trisha Schuening and daughter
Marcey came with her to the
marriage. Son Eric was born
in 1976. Together the family
enjoyed ishing and camping
at Jubilee Lake. Chuck also
enjoyed hunting with Eric and
a group of friends out of Ukiah.
He loved to cook when family
and friends got together. The
couple celebrated their 40th
wedding anniversary this year.
Chuck was honored as
Scouter of the Year in 2006
from Blue Mountain Council
and Oregon Trail District. For
about 30 years he volunteered
with the Boy Scouts of
America Troop 676. He also
volunteered in the Hermiston
youth basketball and football
programs with coaching. Some
of his many activities included
photography, Dutch
oven cooking and
participating in a
mountain man club.
He attended the
Hermiston
High
football and basket-
ball games for years
as a fan.
He spent time
with his veterans
coffee group of
friends Larry, Dennis
and Bill. Rockey, his
little dog, provided
him with hours of
companionship and
laughter at his antics.
He
appreciated
all that his friend
Darrell did in taking care of
Rockey during his absence. He
also enjoyed their friendship
and time spent together.
He was a member of New
Hope Church in Hermiston
and especially enjoyed the
fellowship at the community
hymn sings. The family
thanks everyone who prayed
for Chuck and Trisha during
his long struggle these past
months.
Survivors include his
wife Trisha Glass of Herm-
iston, Ore.; son Eric and
daughter-in-law Jaimi Glass
of Albany, Ore.; daughter
Lori and son-in-law Chindo
Rodriguez, and son Tim
Glass, both of Hermiston;
daughter by marriage Marcey
and son-in-law Steve Wornell
of Hermiston; brother Bill
Wyckoff of Shelton, Wash.;
sister Karen Schank of
Shelton, Wash.; sister Mary
Ann and brother-in-law Ken
Marcuson of Republic, Wash.;
seven grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, and brother
Jimmy Glass.
A private family burial
will be held at the Hermiston
Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life
service with military honors
will be held at New Hope
Community Church, 1350 S.
Highway 395, on Saturday,
January 9th, 2016, at 1:00 p.m.
