THURSDAY
•A Pendleton-area woman at 7:17 a.m. reported the theft of
her Champion 3000 watt generator from her home at Despain
Gulch Road.
•A mother at 7:34 a.m. reported she was on South First
Street, Irrigon, and locked her keys and baby inside her car. A
Morrow County sheriff’s deputy and a locksmith responded and
unlocked the vehicle.
•A caller at 8:14 a.m. reported a black Labrador retriever
went after a little girl at Vonbergen Lane and Highway 339,
Milton-Freewater. The caller did not know the address of where
the dog resides but said this is an ongoing problem and wanted

•A man at 8:23 a.m. reported a trespasser was at his house
on Powerline Road, Milton-Freewater, and he has video of the
suspect snooping around the car and in the garage.
•A caller at 10:21 a.m. reported a burglary at the Horse
Plaza, 34287 Diagonal Road, Hermiston. The caller said this
occurred on Wednesday around 10 at night, and the suspect
used bolt cutters to break into the store and stole cash. The
suspect also went through the caller’s pickup. Surveillance
cameras caught the crime in action, the caller said, and asked
for a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy to make contact.
•And a trail cam caught a theft in action. A man at 11:27 a.m.
reported he saw the video of two men stealing his feed block
at Meacham Lake. The man, though, said he did not have an

•A livestock owner at 12:49 p.m. told law enforcement his
1,500-pound bull got loose from property on Walla Walla River
Road, Milton-Freewater.
•A Pilot Rock resident at 12:59 p.m. reported a landlord
wanted the tenant to pay for the electricity for the garage the
landlord uses as a business.
•Pendleton police at 1:22 p.m. received an emergency
call about people on Southwest Nye Avenue beating a shep-
herd-type dog. A female lifted the dog in the air, kicked it and hit
it, and then took it into a residence when a witness said she was
calling police if the abuse did not stop.
•A Pendleton resident at 5:21 p.m. reported a woman is
constantly harassing her via text messages.
•Two females at about 6:10 p.m. tried to open the back door
of a home on Pomono Drive, Umatilla. The occupant called
police and said they also knocked and a male was in a white car

Aug. 21 possessed methamphetamine
and MDMA, or ecstasy, and provided
drugs to a minor.
Amezcua in a separate case has
pleaded not guilty to third-degree
escape for dodging arrest on Sept. 18.
