Gary Grant Johnson of
Milton-Freewater passed
away on August 20, 2015,
at North Idaho Acute Care
in Post Falls, Idaho, at the
age of 72 years. At his
request, no public services
will be held. Gary was a
cornea donor, which allows
two people to have the
ability to see again.
Gary was born on
April 22, 1943, the son of
Ernest and Frances (Bray)
Johnson in Walla Walla,
Washington. On October
26, 1962, he married Linda
Bailey.
Gary was a welder and
metal fabricator by trade.
+e lived for hunting, ¿shing
and the mountains telling
stories around a camp
¿re. Everyone was always
welcome in his camp. He
enjoyed helping friends
with their cattle and being
horseback. In 2009 a horse
accident disabled him.
He is loved and missed
by his wife Linda of 53
years and son Greg. His
parents and a sister, Carolyn
Beck, all preceded him in
death.
