PUBLIC NOTICE
Morrow County is looking for volunteers to
represent Irrigon or the north eastern por-
tion of the county on the Morrow County
Planning Commission. Planning Commis-
sioners serve four-year terms. This ap-
pointment is to fill a vacancy with a term
ending December 31, 2016.
The Planning Commission generally
meets once a month, alternating meeting
locations between Heppner and Board-
man. Duties of the Planning Commission
include approving land use actions, main-
taining the countyʼs subdivision and zon-
ing ordinance, and working with the
County Court to manage the countyʼs land
use Comprehensive Plan.
Interested parties residing in Morrow
County who are interested in taking a
more active part in land use planning in
the county are encouraged to submit a let-
ter of interest to the Morrow County Court,

THE CITY OF IRRIGON PLANNING
COMMISSION will hold a Public Hearing
on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at 6:00 p.m.
Amendments to the City's Development
Code as they relate to Animal Densities
and ground water protection in the Lower
Umatilla Basin Groundwater Protection
Area (LUBGWMA). This amendment con-
tains changes to the number of agricultural
animals and dogs allowed in Irrigon in or-
der to provide long term improvement in
groundwater nitrate levels.
The meeting will provide the Planning
Commission the opportunity to review the
pending Definitions, Temporary Uses, and
Animal Densities and the adoption Ordi-
nance for the City of Irrigon.
Opportunity to voice support or opposition
to the above proposal or to ask questions
will be provided. Failure to raise an issue
in person or by letter or failure to provide
sufficient specificity to afford the decision
maker an opportunity to respond to the is-
sue precludes appeal to the Land Use
Board of Appeals based on those issues.
