Frank J. Hajek, a Pend-
leton resident, passed away
Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at
a local facility. He was 94
years old. Frank was born
February 20, 1921, in Glover,
North Dakota, to parents
Frank and Teresa Hajek. He
was the ninth of 10 children.
He married Erlaine
Middlestead
in
March 1956. They
had two children,
Marla and Lori.

in the 1940s, he
worked at the
Oregon
State
Hospital, Comries,
and
Pendleton
Grain
Growers. Hajek
In the 1960s, they
purchased
and
operated the A&W Burger
Barn for 30 years.
Frank loved working
with his hands and had
many hobbies. There wasn’t
DQ\WKLQJKHFRXOGQ¶W¿[+H
also enjoyed his time as a
volunteer serving lunches at
the Salvation Army, hunting,
baseball and basketball. In
later years, he enjoyed his
coffee buddies and lucky
number Tuesday. We were all
told many stories of growing
up on the farm during the
Depression. It wasn’t a good
story if it wasn’t told with
great detail.
Over the years, he and his
wife made many fun trips to
North Dakota to visit rela-
tives and friends. Recently,
his nephew Doug had taken
him to Marysville, Wash., to
visit his 103-year-old brother
Ernie.
He is survived by
his wife of 59 years,
Erlaine;
daugh-
ters Marla (Joe)
Lieuallen of Adams
and Lori Hajek
Daly of Pendleton;
grandson
Justin
Daly of Pendleton;
great-grandchildren
Devon, Gavin, Cy
and Reyanna Daly;
and many nieces,
nephews and dear
friends.
He was preceded in death
by his parents and nine
siblings.
At his request there will
be no service.

Snyder, 71, of Pendleton
died Saturday, June 6, 2015,
at her home in Pendleton,
Oregon. She was born March
10, 1944, in Minnesota to
Manford “Mike” Horsman
and Margaret Zwart.
Marge loved her dogs and
gardening.
She is survived by her
brothers Gary Horsman
of Spokane, Washington,
and Ron Horsman of Long
Creek, Oregon; her daugh-
ters Kimberely Demonnin
(husband
Kenneth)
of
Spokane, Washington, and
Tina Richardson (husband
John) of Pendleton, Oregon;
four grandchildren; and
many nieces, nephews, other
family and many friends.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Harry
Snyder Sr., her parents, her
brother Wallace Horsman
and her son Anthony “Tony”
Booth.
At her request, there will
be no service. Arrangements
are with Pendleton Pioneer
Chapel,
Folsom-Bishop.

In 1979, when she
was 25 years old,
she moved to Pend-
leton, Ore., then to
Milton-Freewater,
Ore., in 1982. In
1987, at the age of
33, she moved with
her four children
to Passaic, New
Jersey. While living
in New Jersey, Rivera
Boni worked at
several different
factories. In 2002 she moved
back to Pendleton, Ore., to
be close to her four children,
and lived there until her
death.
Boni’s greatest love and
accomplishment was raising
her children. She worked
very hard and made many
VDFUL¿FHVWRJLYHWKHPHYHU\-
thing that they needed. She
was very proud of each of
them and loved them dearly.
To them, she was their hero.

She enjoyed gardening and

thumb. Cooking was one
of her best skills. There are
many of her specialties that
will never be matched. Boni
also enjoyed music and

two brothers and a sister.
On May 3, 1952, he married
Dora Lee Eldridge in
Pendleton. They celebrated
63 years of marriage. The
couple moved to Pilot Rock
in 1977. Floyd worked very
hard as a cattle rancher and a
wheat rancher.
He loved the mountains,
riding horses, ranching
and farming, and his dog
Garth. Floyd was a very
hardworking man with
very strong moral
values.
He is survived
by his wife Dora,
