COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee
of the City of Umatilla, Umatilla County,
State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for
the fiscal year July 1, 2015 to June 30,
2016, will be held at City Hall, 700 Sixth
Street, Umatilla, Oregon. The meeting will
take place on the 21st day of April, 2015
at 7:00 p.m. The purpose is to receive the
budget message and document of the
City. If the budget is not approved by the
Budget Committee at the first meeting, a
second meeting will take place on the 28th

location.

On December 17, 1988 congress signed into
law an act title “Asbestos Hazard Emergency
Response Act (AHERA)”. This law directed
all schools, public and private, to inspect
buildings for asbestos containing materials,
develop an inventory and prepare a plan for
management as asbestos containing materi-
als in the buildings.
Pendleton School District 16R, utilizing the
services of professional inspectors and con-
sultants, has completed the directive of all
District Buildings. These Management Plans
have been submitted to the State Depart-
ment of Education and are available for re-
view in the principalʼs office at each school,
and at the Administration Office. These
plans are available for the convenience dur-
ing regular office hours, 8:00AM - 4:30 PM.
Copies are available with two weeks notice
and payment of $25.00 to cover copying
costs.
Pendleton School District is required to con-
duct on going surveillance of asbestos con-
taining material every six months. This moni-
toring will be done during October and April
of each year. Also required is notification of
any actions to be taken concerning these
materials.
During the 2015-2016 school year, any
needed patching and repairing will be done.
