New Hope gears up for
Easter EGGstravaganza
East Oregonian
A petting zoo, pony rides,
crafts, face painting, game
booths, bouncy houses and
more are planned during New
Hope Community Church’s
Easter EGGstravaganza.
The free event is Saturday,
April 4 beginning at 10 a.m.
at the church, located at 1350
S. Highway 395, Hermiston.
Also, food will be avail-
able, including popcorn,
cotton candy and hot dogs. In
addition, there will be a raf-

The public is encouraged

effort to provide diapers to
needy parents, an event is
planned at the Hermiston
Church of the Nazarene.

starting at 8:30 a.m. for

Philly buses ordered to
accept ads featuring Hitler
PHILADELPHIA (AP)
— Philadelphia’s transit
system has been ordered
to accept provocative ads
that include a 1941 photo-
graph of Adolf Hitler with
a former Arab leader after a

of a pro-Israel group’s free-
speech lawsuit.
The proposed bus ads car-
ry a tagline saying: “Jew Ha-
tred: It’s in the Quran.”
The Southeastern Pennsyl-
vania Transportation Authori-
ty believes the ads violate
“minimal civility standards”
and will consider an appeal.
