The Pendleton Woolen Mills has
presented to each family represented

The endowment fund of $1,250,000

Claims Ilnsbuul Heat Her.

was an experience today of Mrs. Hugh
C. Rlggs. The Riggs couple live on
Tutuilla street just outside of the cits
limits on the west side of the city.
Medical attention for Mrs. Riggs was
summoned this morning. She was un
able to turn over in bed, on account of
her condition. Bruises on her body,
said to have been caused by the blows
from her husband's fist and feet were
the extent of her injury. Rlggs was
still at liberty shortly after noon today.

MARROUGE, La., Dec. 21. (A.
P.) The detachment of the national
guard that late yesterday dragged
part of Lake La Fourche in an ef
fort to locate the bodies of two men
reported murdered by a hooded band
last August after kidnapping five
prominent Merrougc citizens, were
unsuccessful and a second detach
ment was despatched to the lake.

vent any attempts of outsiders to
interfere with the diving operations.
Reports were circulated that the
enemies of the movement would in
terfere. A chart prepared by spe
cial investigators shows where the
bodies, probably weighted down with
