If two buttons Are extra the men plac
ing money on number two'wln and

so on game after game.
Hundreds of dollars are won during
the trip and hundreds lost. Often
young men gamble away their expense
money and arrive in a strange port
with Just enough change to pay their
boat tips, while seamen lose ortriple
their wages for the trip. 1 According to

the long purse will win In the end, for
he- can play until he regains his losses,
