I Mra, Frank 'Bowman was honored
'on Thursday afternoon when a group
of friends motored, to her home at
Mission. The affair was In the nature
of a surprise and the visitors brought
with them asters with which they dec
orated the house, and also a birthday
cake tv.hlch was served later in the
afternoon. Mrs. Bowman was given a
handkerchief "shower." Music, games
tnd needlework were enjoyed.

St. Mary's hall. The guild recently
spent six hundred dollars In Improve
ing the hall and expect to spend an
additional hundred dollars in the near
future.
