ANNIVERSARY IS OHSRRVED Mr. and Mrs. William Plakley, pio neer residents of I'matilla county, ob served their fifty-seventh wedding an niversary Thursday. They received many congratulations and a charm ing courtesy was that extended by Mrs. James Johns, Jr., who presented them with a large cake bearing the dates 1S61-1921. The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Blakley took place in Urownsville, Linn county. They came to I'matilla county in 1S6S, when Pendleton was unknown. Mr. Blakley engaged in stockraising and later was sheriff of I'matilla county. He will be 81 years I of age in October but is still active In business affairs. ENTERTAIN WITH PARTY Mrs. C. M.
