HOME DEMONSTRATION IDEAS FOR HOUSEWIVES Thumb Sucking Thumb sucking is a menace to the child's welfare. If this habit is taken early It is by no means difficult to control, but allowed to run on for months it becomes a serious problem. Do not per- 4- mit its development. t-'everal methods are advised to break tho habit. When used early.a piece of adhesive around ' the thumb or fingers is all that Is necessary. In others, pinning the sleeves to the side, thus pre- 'venting the child raising its hands to the mouth, or the aluminum ball mit, which can he purchased at the drug store, is advisable. Under all ciroum- stances break the habit no mat- ter what measures or how long it takes. E. V. D. A floating exposition of American industries will he housed on a great ship specially constructed.
