Some of the zinc with which the
vessels are galvenized may be
changed to salts of zinc, which
will give the product an acid and
astringent taste and render it
unsuitable for human use. More
over, the dissolving of this zinc
coating tends to ruin the con
tainer. The use of galvenized
utensils for boiling down fruit
juice is especially risky.

last eighteen months roaming between
Tahiti and the Marquesas islands In
the eastern oceans, is now visiting his
parents here, but the romantic charm
of the palmy Isles will draw him back
within the next three months.
Jogging along with his companion,
Charles Nordhoff, Hall has completed
,a set of articles on the "Faery Islands
of Seas," which have been published
in an eastern magazine and will ap
pear In book form next winter.
The famous chronicler of the Lafay
ette escadrille, who joined "Kitchen
er's Mob". In 1914 has Journeyed
more than 7000 miles in the lust year
within the islands. His next trip will
be to Kapa, It, a rarely visited Islet
5o0 miles south of Tahiti, down next
to the 'Equator.
