A couple of razors and one or two
other articles were missing yesterday
at the S. R. Thompson residence .on
North Main street after the entrance
of unknown marauders Wednesday
night. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson are
In Seattle and Harry, the Japanese
cook, was alone in the house. He
states that' he Is unable to find out
how the visitors forced entrance but
it Is plain that they were In the house
during the night. 1
Bakery Clumifca Hands.
The Alta Street Bakery, formerly
owned and operated by O. H. Hobe.
was transferred to A. Thomas in a
deal that was concluded yesterday.
Mr. Thomas has been a baSer In Pen
dleton for four years, having been em
ployed at the Oregon Bakery during
that time. He will have a complete
line of home made pastries. The
place will be given a thorough reno
vation, and a new oven will be In
stalled. Two or three weeks will be
required for him to get the place Into
condition to operate on the scale he
expects to run Jt.

cured for Cabbage Hill has called
forth many suggestions, not only
