Mrs. Winter departed last night for Tacoma where she Is to attend the convention f the Washington Feder ation of Clubs. WEDDING IS SOLEMVIZED A simple but charmingly appointed marriage service took place last even ing when at eight o'clock Miss Ivis Jessie Gusta f son became the bride of Raymond Ernest Morgan of College Place, the vows being exchanged at the heme of Mrs. Rebecca LAigar in the- Latj Apartments. 'The couple was un attended and Rev. W. H. Thurston of College Place, officiated. Pink and white peonies and roses were used with a profusion of foliage In the room where the ceremony was performed and a wedding bell of flow, ers was suspended overhead. The bride was an attractive picture in her gown of white, worn with a veil caught to her coiffure by rosebuds of pink. Her bouquet was a cluster of carna tions and roses. About twenty-five friends, many f them from College Place, witnessed the service, and an informal reception followed. A buffet supper was served the same tolor scheme predominating In its dainty appointments. A group of maids assisted In the serving. Congratulations were showered upon Mr. and Mrs. Morgan who are to make their home in College Place. GIRLS ENJOY BAN'QCET , Fourteen "Bachelor Girls" enjoyed the annual banquet of the . club last evening, the 1921 function being held at the Wistaria at 7 o'clock. Red roses, formed a lovely central cluster for the table and the same blossoms, In varied hues fashioned dainty bou quets for favors. , . i PAGES ASSIST AT SESSION'S. Boyden was paid this morning by Mrs. Nettie Greer Taylor, convention speaker, who said that Mrs. Boyden's work as accompanist was especially notewor thy. For the musical numbers this morning, Mrs. B. L. Burroughs sang two charming numbers, Kipling's "liesaki" with music by Arthur Foote. and I'endemeer's Stream," with Mrs. lioyden at the piano. PLAY MUCH ENJOYED. The play, "The Futurists," present ed yesterday at the state hospital by nine members of the Current Litera ture club, was greatly enjoyed by the audience which filled the auditorium. The play, first presented here and Int er at He'rmiston, was pronounced by those who have seen the three per formances as the best production of the three. One visiting delegate re marked that never had seh seen a play so faithful to the costuming and furniture of the period portrayed. P.)r The senate passed a bill authorizing the consolidation of telephone com panies where better and cheaper ser vice could be attained. The bill pass ' cd the house yesterday. This gives the Interstate commerce commission supervision over such consolidations. The bill was Introduced to meet the conditions of stales where consolida tions are desired.
