Hawiey, American consul here, said today that his seven-year-old son, recently Injured by a Japa nese whllo playing at tho consulate, was not cut In the right arm as re ported, but was beaten. Tho Japa nese, who was arrested, confessed. Tho Japanese entered the garden of tho consulate and poked ridicule at children playing there, among them several Japanese. Mr. Mawicy's son ordered the Invader out but the Jap anese pulled him into the street, kick ed him and knocked him on tho head.
