Orchestra Organized
An orchestra has recently been or
ganized by the lnuslcians of I'endle
ton and is holding rehearsals every
Sunday morning In tho auditorium of
the library. It Is under the direction
f George E. McKlroy who came here
lecently from Seattle where he played
first violin with the Seattle Symphony
Orchestra during the past six seasons.1
The orchestra is composed of the best
musician In I'endleton and has shown
wonderful progress and the plans are
lo give a series of concerts in the near
future. There has been an attendance
of about twenty pieces and more will
be added. The object of this organiza
tion Is to stimulate an interest among
the musicians and public In good
music and the hopes uf I'endleton hav
ing a first class symphony orchestra.

Funeral to He Held '
The funeral of the late Mrs. ft. W.
Wyckhoff will be held tomorrow at 10
a. m. from the Brown chapel with
llev. W. A. Gressman. pastur of the
Christian church, officiating. Mrs.
Wyckhoff was the daughter of Mrs.
S. 1'. Hutchinson of this city and her
death occurred Wednesday at St. An
thony's hospital.
