The periodical renovation of the city Jail la aboul completed again, and the cells and fixtures of the place are shining as a result of work that has been done 'during the past few days. The.' blankets and beddings have been washed thoroughly, and other cleaning has been done. Bight hoboes who spent the night In the Jail were this morning given their freedom and an admonition to put distance between themselves and Pendleton. Modern Woodmen in Convention. The county convention of the Mod em Woodmen was he,ld lost night at Milton. Delegates to the number of four, and twenty-five additional mem bers made the trip from Pendleton to enjoy the good time. The delegates were George Mason, L. Dunlap, Wil liam Anderson and A. U Frankum. A banquet was served at Freewater be fore the convention. William Ander son was chosen as county chairman at the convention and A. U Frankum was selected as county clerk. The next convention of the order will be held In Pendleton In 1925. Garage Is Incorporated. T. B. Swearingen, J. 'F. Jones, Tracy Baker and Clyde McKay are the incorporators of the Western Auto Company, the company being formed with a capital of $10,000. The officers have not been choRen but it was stat ed today that all four of the owners will devote personal time to the busi ness.
