p.) "Bullet," a veteran fire depart
ment horse, with 20 years service to
his credit, will lead a downtown parade
to be held here soon to mark the pass
ing of tho remaining horse-drawn
equipment in the Los Angeles fire de
partment. .
Plans. for the parade were made re
cently when the fire commission decid
ed to motorize the entire dapartment.
At present thej-e are thirty six horses
remaining in the service.
