As a summary of the prospects of
the leather business for the ensuing
year. President Swift said:
"Present prices of raw materials.
hides and skins are much lower than
ire-war prices. The prices of leather.
however, have not declined to such n
extent, because tanning supplies have
not shown so marked a decrease, nor
have the rates of wages been very
mucn reduced. Our sales have shown
a marked improvement during the
early part of this year."
